Outstanding Deliverability
Pushability, Trackability, Crossability

The arrival of drug-eluting stents has heralded a new era in interventional cardiology with the cardiologist now able to treat a much broader range of patients and lesions than ever before.

As a PTCA balloon's journey is becoming increasingly demanding (i.e. reaching a distal lesion through tortuous anatomy or crossing a tight or total occlusion), Cordis has designed the Aqua T3¢â, a PTCA balloon that will provide you with outstanding deliverability and procedural safety when treating the most challenging lesions.

Procedural Safety
Low Compliance

When preparing a tight lesion prior to stent placement, you want to limit the injury to the vessel.(1)

Cordis low compliant Duralyn¢â balloon material:

• inflicts less stress on the arterial wall than more compliant balloons
• minimizes the risk of dissection
• reduces vessel trauma at higher pressures

Technical information

• Proximal shaft 1.9 F
• Distal Shaft 2.7 F
• Usable Length 140 cm
• Distal shaft length 25 cm
• Exit markers 100 cm and 90 cm
• Nominal Pressure 8 atm
• Rated Burst Pressure 14 atm
• Balloon Markers Dual Embedded*
• Balloon Coating Hydrophilic AquaSLX
• Balloon Material Duralyn

* Crossing Profile Test set-up: The balloon catheter is advanced at constant force through pinholes of different diameters. The results show the average of the smallest hole the atheter can penetrate by at least 50% of the balloon length. The secondary profile is etermined by the same procedure after two consecutive inflations of the balloon to Rated Burst Pressure.
