The
CLASSIC NM™ PTCA Dilatation Catheter is
designed to allow for easy exchange of balloon
catheter using all standard PTCA guidewires.
The proximal shaft is composed of a polymer coated
stainless steel hypotube, on which printed markers
are located to help identify catheter position
relative to the tip of the guiding catheter when
either a brachial or femoral approach is applied.
The distal segment of the balloon catheter contains
a stainless steel corewire to facilitate superior
pushability even through tortuous vasculature.
The semi-compliant nylon balloon material allows
for high-pressure dilatation while maintaining
control of balloon size. The Duraloob™ hydrophilic
coating on the balloon enhances crossability through
complex lesions. Two radiopaque platinum marker
bands are located within the balloon to indicate
balloon worklength.
CLASSIC NM™ PTCA Dilatation Catheter is
compatible with all standard 0.014 inch guidewires.
The design of this dilatation catheter does not
incorporate a lumen for distal dye injections
and distal pressure measurements. |
