- Operator: Majid Jalal Yazdi, MD
Clinical Information

- Relevant clinical history and physical exam:
A 54-year-old male who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting had a left internal mammary artery (LIMA) graft to the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and saphenous venous grafts .Four years after surgery, he developed angina. Angiographic evaluation revealed an anomalous well developed branch of internal thoracic artery (thyrocervical trunk) with steal phenomenon (Fig 1, Fig 2)

- Relevant test results prior to catheterization:
Angiogram showed unligated anomalous branch of the LIMA( Fig 1, Fig 2)

Interventional Management

Procedural step:
The LIMA was cannulated with 7F guiding catheter via the left femoral artery. The side branch was
occluded using flexible coil 4 mm×4 mm in size (COIL SYSTEM, Fig 3, Fig 4).
