A 69-year-old man was admitted with intermittent claudication of right lower leg for several months. His risk factor was diabetes and hypertension. His current medications were anti-angina medication, antihypertensive medications and lipid lowering agents. |

Total occlusion of left SFA were revealed( Movie 1). |
Procedure |
Doctor Heuser punctured the right femoral artery with an 7 Fr sheath. He crossed lesion using 0.032 inch Terumo wire( Movie 2). Then, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty was performed using a 5.0 X 40 mm Powerflex balloon. Next, 2 self expandable SMART Control stent(6.0 X 120 mm and 6.0 X 40 mm) were successfully deployed. Using Rider 6.0 X 80 mm Powerflex balloon, post-stent balloon dilatation was performed. Finally, he could achieve good patency( Movie 3). |
