Venue :
The Convention Center of Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel, Seoul, Korea

Welcome to the 11th Angioplasty Summit 2006-TCT Asia Pacific, sponsored by the CardioVascular Research Foundation Asia (CVRF), and held at the Convention Center of Sheraton Walkerhill Grande Seoul Hotel, Seoul, Korea from April 26 to 28, 2006, when Seoul is in its most beautiful season.

This conference is planned for interventional cardiologists, radiologists, clinical cardiologists, basic scientists, vascular medicine specialists, surgeons, and other health care professionals with special interest in the field of interventional vascular therapy and medicine.

There are several unique aspects to the Angioplasty Summit-TCT Asia Pacific. Our live case demonstrations, which are transmitted from numerous domestic and international medical centers, feature simultaneous, comparative approaches to specific lesion subsets. At the same time, different patients with the same lesion type are treated by different world-expert operators working in different laboratories; this allows the audience to compare and contrast different approaches to treating the same type of lesion. Live cases are transmitted into two theaters, the Main Arena and the Tutorial Auditorium. The Main Arena focuses on introducing new and diverse techniques, devices, and drugs. The Tutorial Auditorium is designed to provide a more practical educational experience to help physicians in their daily clinical practices.

Our distinguished, international faculty also contribute their expertise via state-of–the–art lectures and presentation of their latest data. This permits our participants to catch up with the newest Western and European techniques, overviews, and clinical investigations.

Beginning in 2005, the Angioplasty Summit established an affiliation with TCT (Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics) to become TCT Asia Pacific. There will be a specific TCT Asia Pacific session with key TCT faculty.

Expanded scientific abstract sessions will again be published in the American Journal of Cardiology.

By providing physicians with the opportunity to share new data and observe clinically challenging cases, Angioplasty Summit–TCT Asia Pacific has as its goal to contribute to the healthcare of our patients and further the knowledge of everyone with an interest in the endovascular therapeutics field.
