Translational Research Center
The translational Research Center, directed by Dr. Jung-Min Ahn, has been established to encourage and support novel translational cardiovascular research. According to the definition, translational research is part of a unidirectional continuum in which research findings are moved from the researcher's bench to the patient's bedside and community. The purpose of the center is to improve the quality of cardiovascular disease management by accelerating the transfer of clinical findings from basic research to practical application. The center also supports clinical trials assessing the outcomes of the new coronary devices, since the development of translational research has been more related to that of new technologies.
